UPDATE HISTORY

Only the current Restoration Runtime Package is offered as the full release. Runtime Updates are temporary direct update paths for existing package installations and are replaced when a newer package becomes current. Older entries remain as context only and are not supported setup states.

v1.2.1.1 Current package

Main Changes

  • Title disclaimer renewed with the “NGRP by RACCU” wordmark.
  • Minor texture corrections.
  • Restoration Runtime Options added for selectable font-style overlays.
  • Standard font uses BIZ_UDPGothic and is already included in the current package; separate DDS/KTX restore overlays allow users to switch back after using another font style.
  • Legacy font overlays use BIZ_UDPMincho as a serif-style alternative, separated by DDS and KTX package format. It is intentionally called “Legacy” because it is not the original historical font, but a related typeface direction from the same font family/vendor context.
v1.2.1 Hotfix r2 Maintenance

Main Changes

  • Old Turn Bloom OFF cheat replaced with a safer PostFX/Bloom method.
  • Users should replace the old cheat file completely, avoid mixing old and new Bloom OFF codes, fully restart Azahar, and avoid old savestates after replacing cheats.
  • MEOW updated to fix inaccurate weapon-stat transfer cases.
MH3G JP v1.2.1 Hotfix JP cheat fix

Main Changes

  • Charm Table Unfix / Force Table cheats for MH3G JP fixed after the v1.2.1 JP cheat used the wrong code-cave address.
  • The issue affected runtime game code, not save data.
  • MH3U EU and MH3U US were not affected.
MEOW Maintenance Bridge Save transfer

Main Changes

  • Reported MEOW conversion edge case fixed.
  • Transfer scope expanded beyond user1–3, system, and quest1–4 to also handle card1–3 and cardbox.
  • MEOW support updated for all relevant save files across MH3U and MH3G.
v1.2.1 Previous package

Main Changes

  • MH3G is now officially supported.
  • HD Hunter Name no longer requires a separate HunterName HD package component.
  • 60 FPS has been removed for now while timing work continues separately.
  • The ReadMe has been fully reworked, including the NIKO Patcher workflow.
  • The old distributed archive-file approach has been replaced by NIKO Patcher and NIKO patches.
  • Many textures have been corrected.
  • New fonts have been added through the MogaPress pipeline.
  • KTX v1.2.1 was rebuilt from scratch after earlier KTX issues.
  • DDS received an update path from v1.2a to v1.2.1.
  • This was the last regular release posted through the MH Classic HD Project Discord before the move toward the Raccu website and Discord structure.
v1.2a Patch 0.4 Hotfix

Main Changes

  • Fixed a missing texture graphic for all languages.
  • DDS and KTX patch variants were provided.
  • Refreshed full packages were updated to include the fix.
v1.2a Patch 0.3 Hotfix

Main Changes

  • Fixed a German localization / UI text issue.
  • Mainly relevant for users playing with German language output.
  • Refreshed full packages were updated to include the fix.
v1.2a Patch 0.2 Hotfix

Main Changes

  • Added UI mip coverage to improve menu/UI behavior at 3× internal resolution.
  • Patch install required replacing the affected gui folder in the texture-pack root.
  • Refreshed full packages and ReadMe were updated afterward.
v1.2a Patch 0.1 Hotfix

Main Changes

  • Fixed black speckle / artifacting issues on fmtID=13 (ETC1A4) textures after mip processing.
  • DDS (BC7) and KTX (ASTC 4×4) patch variants were provided.
  • Refreshed full packages were re-uploaded afterward.
v1.2a Engine & media foundation

Main Changes

  • DDS integration completed and texture streaming improved.
  • KTX/DDS container workflow established as the foundation for reduced VRAM pressure, faster loading, and smaller download size.
  • Manual mipmap coverage expanded for improved visual quality at distance.
  • Texture package size reduced compared with the previous PNG-heavy structure.
  • 60 FPS and 30 FPS cheat work continued, including gallery/cutscene timing fixes.
v1.1 Historical package

Main Changes

  • Stable normal-map and material-response work introduced as a release baseline.
  • Full HD HUD/UI added with further improved fonts.
  • Texture Pack cleanup and consolidation reduced legacy leftovers and improved structure consistency.
  • 60 FPS / 30 FPS cheat options with LogicFix were included at this stage.
  • CharmTableFix / Charm Table QoL remained included from v1.0.
  • MEOW launched alongside v1.1 for the then-supported transfer scope.
v1.0 Initial public package

Main Changes

  • First public MH3U NGRP release, published as a Christmas community release.
  • The project moved beyond a pure texture project into a broader modernization pass.
  • Complete visual overhaul introduced as the initial public baseline.
  • Performance support and Charm Table QoL support were included as required package components.
  • The release established the foundation for the later Restoration Runtime Package model.
Pre-release development Context only

Development Context

  • Early HD UI work covered German, English, Spanish, and French UI passes.
  • Hunter Name HD began as a separate workaround before the later proper replacement path was restored.
  • Normal-map, material-mask, alpha, and gloss workflows were developed across monsters, weapons, armor, maps, and UI.
  • Day/night texture separation, hashsplitting, performance packaging, and MogaPress font-pipeline work formed the technical basis for later Raccu/NGRP releases.

These older states are not offered as downloads and are not supported setup states.
